Where we pave driveways: the 103 municipalities of Málaga province

In shortWe pave driveways, garage entrances, sloping drives, community car parks, industrial yards and villa entrances in all 103 municipalities of Málaga province. This page groups them by comarca, links our dedicated town pages where they exist and points to the regional hubs on our sister site. The service is the same everywhere; what changes from place to place is access, paperwork and who decides.

Do we really cover the whole province?

Yes. We are an autónomo based in Marbella, and the same person runs all six of our paving websites; the working area is the entire province of Málaga. Distance from Marbella affects how site visits are scheduled, not whether we take the job. For towns without their own page below, the driveway block paving and villa and estate entrances services describe exactly what we do.

Comarca assignments follow the Junta de Andalucía where a citation was found, otherwise the Diputación division. A few municipalities are assigned differently by different bodies, for example Sierra de Yeguas, Cuevas del Becerro, El Burgo, Istán and Ojén, so treat the grouping as orientation only; it does not change what town hall your property depends on.

Which municipalities belong to each comarca?

Town names that are links lead to our dedicated driveway pages. Each comarca heading also has a regional page on our sister site, linked at the end of its line.

Which towns are on the coast?

Fourteen municipalities are crossed by the Senda Litoral coastal path, which runs the full Málaga coastline from Manilva to Nerja: Manilva, Casares, Estepona, Marbella, Mijas, Fuengirola, Benalmádena, Torremolinos, Málaga, Rincón de la Victoria, Vélez-Málaga, Algarrobo, Torrox and Nerja. The other eighty-nine are not on that path. Coastal or not, the build-up of a driveway is set by its traffic and drainage, not by its postcode.

Does anything change from one town hall to another?

The paperwork can. In Andalusia, Law 7/2021 (LISTA), article 138.1.a), places minor works of limited scope that do not need a project under a responsible declaration, but each town hall's ordinance decides how a specific job fits, so the procedure is confirmed with the town hall case by case. A lowered kerb or vehicle crossing always needs separate municipal authorisation, as our guide to vehicle crossings and permits explains.

In communities of owners anywhere in the province, the owners' meeting decides under the Horizontal Property Law, which is why our car parks and communities service includes documentation for that meeting. Frequently asked questions

Do you work in towns that have no page on this site?

Yes. Our dedicated pages cover twelve towns, but the service area is the whole province. If your municipality is listed on this page without a link, send photos and the approximate area exactly as you would for any other town.

How many municipalities does Málaga province have?

One hundred and three, grouped into nine comarcas: Málaga-Costa del Sol, Costa del Sol Occidental, Axarquía, Valle del Guadalhorce, Antequera, Nororma, Guadalteba, Sierra de las Nieves and Serranía de Ronda. All of them are within our working area.

Why do some sources put a town in a different comarca?

Because the Junta de Andalucía and the Diputación de Málaga use slightly different divisions, and two municipalities were created after the regional order of 2003. Towns such as Istán, Ojén and El Burgo appear under different comarcas depending on the source.

Does it matter which comarca my house is in?

Not for the paving itself. What matters for paperwork is the municipality, because each town hall sets its own procedure for outdoor works. The comarca grouping simply helps you find nearby towns and the regional page on our sister site.

Is Sitio de Calahonda in Marbella or Mijas?

It belongs to Mijas, even though it is often associated with Marbella. Always use the municipality where the property is registered when checking procedures or requesting a vehicle crossing, since that is the town hall responsible.

Do you travel to the Serranía de Ronda for small jobs?

We assess each request on its merits. For remote areas we try to schedule site visits on dates when we are already in the area, and we tell you openly if a very small job would be disproportionate to the travel involved.

Is the service the same on the coast and inland?

Yes. The same contractor, the same construction method and the same English-language communication apply everywhere. What varies is access for deliveries, the local ordinance, and whether the property sits in a community of owners or stands on its own plot.

Which comarca hub should I read for my town?

Use the regional page linked at the end of your comarca's line above. Those pages, on our sister block-paving site, describe materials and bases in general for that part of the province; this site covers driveways, garages and car parks specifically.

Can I get a quote without anyone visiting first?

You can get a first estimate from photos, the approximate area and a description of the traffic. A final quote normally follows a site visit, because levels, base condition and access are hard to judge from pictures alone, especially on longer drives.

Who runs these websites?

A single autónomo, Bauman Raymond Attila, based in Marbella, runs all six paving websites in the network. Each site focuses on one type of job, such as driveways here, sunken paver repair, restoration or prices, so you can find the relevant information quickly.
